First time visiting after seeing a five ? review for the Lasagna Bolognese in Newsday. The $12 corkage fee is excellent; the bread and ricotta whip was a great start, and the mussels, burratta, and squash soup appetizers were amazing. The Lasagna Bolognese lived up to the hype; the carbonara bucatini was just OK. It was bland and could definitely benefit from some panchetta and other flavors to kick it up a notch. Dessert was over the top delish, and the service was exceptional throughout! CASH only.

The place was a little tricky to find in the dark. The food was simple but well prepared. It’s a small place and noisy from the kitchen. The service was prompt but the wrong food was brought out on my order and we were on a tight schedule due to a show. But I ordered another glass of wine and waited patiently. (It wouldve been nice to comp the glass since I was clearly waiting while my husband finished his meal) Bring a nice supply of cash.

This place never disappoints. Last night I sat and had a table filled with dishes that were so delicious. Spare ribs were falling off the bone and seasoned to perfection. Steve makes the finest dishes packed with savory goodness. Love the bread and toppings. Their Pesto pasta with broccoli rabe and sausage is amazing and one of my favorites. Quaint place with wonderful service too. I recommend trying each dish ❤️?

One of Suffolk County’s best! Small, intimate space pushing out BIG flavor! Menu consists of regular staples like bucatini carbonara and eggplant parm, mixed in with seasonal items such as rigatoni in kale sauce. Chef Stephen puts his unique touch on each and every dish that makes you craving for more. Staff are warm and inviting which really rounds out the experience. BYOB with a small corking fee, or they have their own excellent selection of wines. Reservations recommended, cash only.

This food blew us away. One of the best restaurants on Long Island without a doubt. This chef knows what he's doing and the service matches the quality of the food as well. Can't recommend this restaurant enough.

Absolutely love coming here. The meal was cooked to perfection and everything is like an amazing flavor explosion!!! Our waitress Jenny was amazing. Highly recommend making a reservation. Worth the wait!!! Outdoor seating was very comfortable and warm.

Great price fixe menu, lots of choices. Cash only and BYOB (no charge). Huge portions and some of the best Italian food I have ever had. The place is tiny, so I would make so your have a reservation. Also if you use a GPS service to find the restaurant, do not be supposed to be told to turn into what looks like a closed strip mall, the restaurant is on the back end and is a hidden gem for sure.

This place is a hidden gem. Small seating capacity without feeling tight. Call for a reservation. The food and service are excellent. Our server last night was professional and attentive - we ate our weight in bread. We ordered their pickled vegetables as an add on to their bread and oil and they were delicious - sweeter but with nuanced flavors. We did a round of appetizers: baked little necks, mussels, and tripe. I could've had three dozen of their little necks. Whoever their seafood purveyor is nails the catch. The mussels were fat and tasty in a sauce that complimented their natural flavors and everything tasted fresh. My mother went in for their bolognase which was a hug on a plate. Warm, savory, a little creamy on papardelle- and I just had one bite. My picture above is of their black spaghetti with calamari. I have never had squid this good. Ever. Frankly, the dish suffers from being so damn special that I'll have to go back to get more. My dad had a veal chop that left him groaning happily and was cooked perfectly. Every single dish was perfectly cooked. They were all delivered with perfect timing and the desserts did not disappoint. We were also graced with the chef coming out and asking us about our meal. This was an act of pure class. Truly a wonderful experience. Be advised: cash only. Bring plenty.
