Fantastic restaurant with wonderful hospitality and great food. We popped in for a birthday dinner without a specific reservation and were able to get seated quickly. Their Margherita pizza is amazing and my friend had their chicken parm. Portion sizes are beyond comprehension and more than what you get billed for. I really liked their multi-level setup and the cozy atmosphere here. Great choices of wine and cocktails too. Definitely one of those places that you can’t go wrong with in the North End.

My husband and I found this amazing restaurant 5 years ago on a vacation and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. We finally made our way back and it was just as good as I had remembered. The North side is so charming and quaint. *
The staircase is very narrow but so adorable! The three times we’ve eaten there we’ve been upstairs. I have no idea what the main floor is like. Everyone there was very kind. A few things to keep in mind… they don’t take phone call reservations and they open @4 (at least on Tuesdays).
I love the bread they start you out with. They add olive oil, pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese to dip your bread in- I’m obsessed! It seems like a fairly simple thing to recreate but it’s not the same taste.
I always order fettuccine Alfredo and never unhappy! The portion sizes are huge, I never get close to finishing my meal.
The last time we ate there we sat in a corner next to two windows. They were open but have a couple of horizontal bars going across so no one would accidentally fall out. It was so fun to look out and smell the crisp October air and hear the hustle and bustle of the small city and all its charm.

We had a great meal here. The portion sizes are gigantic and the food is fabulous. The service was exceptional and we would return again. They also had a decent selection of gluten free options for my daughter.

I always have more respect for restaurants where they are allergy conscious. But not every place does it well. The gluten free pasta here though...amazing. Best I've ever tried. Server was super nice and knowledgeable. Meal prices are actually very good when you consider how big the serving sizes are.

Update - takeout process is stressful. They said go back behind the mirror so I went back there and I was looking for someone to ask how to pick up the order without blocking the way in this little tiny bifurcating area and when I looked behind me a waitress said "this is the kitchen" in a super condescending tone. There's no situation where that's an appropriate way to talk to someone but also having the food pickup area at the entrance to the kitchen is just asking for trouble.

Tables are packed together, but the food was delicious. My wife had the lobster ravioli. I couldn’t decide between homemade sauces, so the waitress suggested the chicken parm with marinara and the pesto Alfredo sauce on homemade noodles. Highly recommend!!
